We think we are virtuous, until we are challenged. My future daughter-in-law called me, worried. "Did you tell the sales clerk at David's Bridal that you hated the style and color of the bridesmaids' dresses?"

Guilt is Always in Style. It all started with a chance comment to another soccer mom. Lisa had her hair pulled back in a banana clip. (Guys, that's one of those curvy, claw-like contraptions that women stick on the back of their heads to hold their hair back). She usually wore it loose (quite flattering) so this was a different look for her, but attractive as well. Being a woman and noticing such things, I complimented her on the new look.

"Geez, Mom! You're worse than we are!" my 19-year-old son exclaimed. He'd caught me text messaging while we were shopping together.

I was a little overwhelmed on Saturday afternoon when I looked at my schedule for the coming week. I use iCal because I like to see the week in front of me on my MacBook. As I stared at the screen the week was filled with green, the color I use for all events and appointments related to my ministry. Yes, priests work the other six days of the week too!
